Don't Let Fall Get You Down

When the summer weather comes along it’s the perfect opportunity to show of your year’s worth of hard work. Whether that’s lying on the beach all day or going out in that dress you have been saving. However, once the weather leaves, it can often take away motivation. Below is an article from Athletic Republic Parkland about how exercising in Fall doesn’t have to be all about the cold and dreary weather.

Take Advantage of the Scenery

Just because the warm weather has left doesn’t mean that you have to stay indoors. Instead, take part of your workout outside and enjoy the scenery. As an example, look for a local running track or forest walk which you can utilize and watch nature shed its summer glory. Running over crunchy leaves and taking a rest under a shedding tree is not only a relaxing experience but it can also be a great photo opportunity for those who like to share pictures of their workouts.

Food

It’s no surprise that Pumpkin is a popular food item during the season, but did you know that it’s also great for your health, making it a perfect way to enjoy the season’s fresh produce and benefit your health plan. Of course, you aren’t limited to just pumpkin. Apples. Figs, and even pears can be great healthy items to include into your daily eating plan. Pears are especially great as you can warm them up into a delicious mash for easy and comforting eating.

If You Find Yourself Falling Behind

It’s no surprise that the cold weather can take its toll on your motivation. If you can feel it coming on and affecting you, don’t be afraid to switch up your routine. An an example, if you have been enjoying pilates in the summer, why not switch it to Yoga for the season? Even better, take your yoga outside or join a local yoga group to help keep your motivation levels and spirits high.
